Our objective

Our organisations main objective is to empower and uplift the lives of children in the Westlake Community who, for many reasons, have difficulty with regular schooling or socialization

The community is home  to approximately 17 000 local and foreign residents, many of which are living on the bread line.  Some of the children have never been given the basis of reading  and writing.  Others are from abused backgrounds and have difficulty in learning and communication, due to trauma, or have physical setbacks.

Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre aims to address this imbalance, by identifying young children that need assistance to bridge the divide between a restricted development and a positive future.
This can be achieved through individualized focus on particular difficulties and offering the remedial opportunities to rectify them.  Such disadvantages include, literacy and numeracy deficiencies, physical handicaps such as speech impediments, underdeveloped muscular systems, hearing and vision impairments and social imbalances.

We are in the process of  introducing remedial teachers, occupational and physio therapists, speech therapists, counsellors and psychologists.
We trust that through the various remedial interactions, these children will be able to re-enter the normal schooling system.
We have also introduced art, music, sport, cooking and dance classes for kids who might not have an academic future.
Amazing Grace would also like to arrange talks, where the parents in the community can be advised as to how they can assist their children with the remedial process.
